We are a patient-focused surgical clinic. We have three locations to serve you, and each of our board-certified surgeons is an expert in multiple specialties.
We opened Northwest Minimally Invasive Surgery in 2017 because we identified a need in our community. We realized there were few if any places for patients to turn in order to receive expert, cutting-edge surgical care in a setting that also prioritizes patient comfort.
We dedicate ourselves each day to ensuring a warm and welcoming setting for those who entrust us with their care. And that environment allows our world-class surgeons to do their best work while keeping patient comfort at the forefront of their minds.

Daniel Tseng, MD FACS
A general surgeon with special training in advanced laparoscopic surgery, Dr. Tseng’s interests are primarily in esophageal, general gastrointestinal, and solid organ surgery.
He graduated with honors from the University of Illinois College of Medicine. After a residency at Oregon Health & Science University, he spent two years in advanced specialty training devoted solely to laparoscopic surgery.
Dr. Tseng is a member of the Society for American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons and the Society for the Surgery of the Alimentary Tract. He is an advanced minimally invasive and robotic surgeon.
Dr. Tseng enjoys skiing, spending time with family, cooking, and playing tennis and golf.
Specialties: Solid organ and gastrointestinal surgery (esophagus, stomach, colon, small bowel, pancreas, spleen, and adrenal). General Surgery (Laparoscopic): Hernia repairs, peritoneal dialysis, gallbladder, and many others.
Jeffrey Watkins, MD FACS
Dr. Watkins is a general surgeon who has specialized training in minimally invasive foregut surgery. He graduated with honors from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. After completing his general surgery residency, Jeff trained for an additional year during a fellowship program in Seattle devoted to esophageal surgery and advanced endoscopy.
With interests in esophageal surgery, solid organ surgery, and general surgery, Dr. Watkins commonly treats reflux disease, esophageal motility disorders, cancers of the alimentary tract, hernias, and general surgical issues.
He is a member of the American College of Surgeons, Society for American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES) and the Society for the Surgery of the Alimentary Tract (SSAT).
He enjoys spending time with his wife and three boys, cycling and music. He speaks fluent Spanish.

Sabrina Drexel, MD
Dr. Drexel is a general surgeon who specializes in minimally invasive surgery. She graduated with honors from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. After a general surgery residency at Oregon Health & Science University, she spent a year in Cleveland for advanced training in laparoscopic surgery.
Her fellowship training included foregut surgery, complex hernia repair, and interventional endoscopy. She is especially interested in complex hernias and endoscopic treatments of the esophagus, stomach, and colon. She also has expertise in diaphragm pacing.
Dr. Drexel is an active member of the American College of Surgeons, the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES), and the Association of Women Surgeons.
She has two daughters and enjoys yoga, cooking, and hiking.

Paul Kaminsky, MD PhD
Dr. Kaminsky is a colorectal surgeon specializing in advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgery. He graduated with honors from the University Of Iowa’s Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine. After his residency at the University of North Carolina, he attended AdventHealth for fellowship training, specializing in colon and rectal surgery.
His interests include cancers of the colon, rectum and anus, transanal resection of rectal polyps, hemorrhoids and anal fissures, fistulas and abscesses. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons.
He enjoys spending time with his wife. The couple welcomed their baby girl January 2021!

Carey Wickham MD
Dr. Carey Wickham attended Scripps College where she received her bachelor’s degree in biology. She went on to complete her medical degree at George Washington University in 2015 and subsequently completed her residency at the University of Southern California in General Surgery.
Recently, Dr. Wickham completed her subspecialty fellowship training in Colon and Rectal Surgery at the University of Miami Jackson Memorial Hospital.
